A Feminine Moment How to Retain Femininity in the Workplace 2018

Here is an interesting video from the Mrs. Dixie Andelin Forsyth and Mrs. Jennifer Cross, President and Executive Assistant of Fascinating Womanhood respectively, about femininity in the workplace. I am going to be doing another post about this same subject shortly, but I want to introduce you the videos of The Fascinating Womanhood channel on Youtube.

What Fascinating Womanhood is not?

On the Fascinating Womanhood Facebook group, a question was asked about what was Fascinating Womanhood and what was not. It was an interesting question to me because I had been planning to do a blog about that question. From the many success stories we can say that Fascinating womanhood has benefited many marriages. But since the book was written over 50 years ago, many people have taken a lot of the principles and some of the success stories out of context. People who have read excerpts or never even read the book have made their own conclusions about what Fascinating Womanhood is and make people think negative thoughts about these timeless principles. So below I have a list of what in my opinion Fascinating Womanhood is NOT.

1.) Fascinating Womanhood does NOT encourage Domestic Violence- If you have ever read the classic edition of Fascinating Womanhood, a couple of the success stories included a story where the husband had put his hand on his wife and after she used the Fascinating…

Being a Domestic Goddess while holding a full time job

When people hear the word Domestic Goddess, they are probably thinking a SAHM. Well most homemakers and such are SAHM/SAHW, in my opinion you can be a Domestic Goddess and work a fill time job. Even thought we might recommend to stay home with the kiddos when they are little bity ones, we know that sometimes that is not the case. Now honestly, it will be a little harder for you to work and make you home comfortable, but you can do it. Here is some advice on working while keeping home.

1.) Get your children involved-If you have children, this is a great time to involve them in cleaning up. Children as young as 2 years old can help around the house picking up toys, wiping tables, loading laundry. It helps them to grow character and encourages responsibility in them.

2.) Just take 15 minutes- 15 minutes is all you need each day to get you house clean. Each day take 15 minutes and go though each room and pick up what does not belong(I also recommend having a basket in each child's roo…

The Engagment Chicken

It started with a recipe and a trip to Italy. In 1982, Kim Bonnell , a fashion editor at Glamour Magazine, gave a basic Lemon and Herb Roast chicken recipe she developed on a recent trip to Italy to a coworker to make for a long time boyfriend. A short time later, the young co-worker was engaged.  Soon the recipe was passed around to other ladies in the office, and many other engagements occurred. The recipe were published in Glamour Magazine  since 2003 and over 75 engagements have occurred. Maybe its luck or maybe it the magic of the chicken, but here is the recipe for Engagement Chicken.
Engagement Chicken(recipe from Glamour Magazine) Serves 2 to 4 Ingredients: 1 whole chicken (approximately 4 pounds)1/2 cup fresh lemon juice, plus 3 whole lemons—including 1 sliced for garnish1 tablespoon kosher or coarse sea salt1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepperFresh herbs for garnish (4 rosemary sprigs, 4 sage sprigs, 8 thyme sprigs, and 1 bunch fl at-leaf parsley) Position an oven rack in th…

The Single mothers guide to Fascinating womanhood

All I could do was continue to look at the ground. After months of prayers, the nurse gave me the news I was dreading to hear. I'm pregnant. Their I was,28 years old, unmarried,  living alone, and now Pregnant. However, after letting it sink in for a couple minutes, I accepted my new chapter in my life. I told the child's father and he was ecstatic. We tried to get back together for the sake of our child and be a family, but after a few months we realized it would not work between us. So hear I am, starting my new life as a single mom. I am not scared,I am actually excited for this new path in my life. Here are some tips for single moms out their:

1.)Practice all the FW principles- People think in order to follow The Fascinating Womanhood principles you must be married. Well women of all ages and backgrounds can follow Fascinating Womanhood. These principles in my opinion can make life’s challenges easier when applied correctly.
2.)Have a support system- If you live far from yo…

The decline of the Womens Club and how to save it

Since the late 1800s, Women’s clubs all over the county were used to as a platform for social Activism during the Progressive Era. During the Early 20th century, some groups supported the suffrage movement for women to gain the right to vote.By the 1930s, clubs formed for different interests such as sewing and literature.By `1955, membership peaked 16,000 clubs and over 850,000 members. Now membership is at less than 100,000 members.

Some of the reasons why club memberships are declining are because more women are working during the average time that these organizations have meeting, not having the spare time to devote to being members of these groups, and having a hard tie attracting younger members. As members get older, there are less and less younger people to fill those memberships. Sadly if new member do not join these groups, in a few years these groups will disappear.

I went to a women’s group in my community today and they happen to be celebrating their 75th anniversary. I so …

Shows to watch if you are not interested in the Big Game

Now The Big Game is one of the biggest events of the year on TV, it feels that everyone will be watching. But we know not everyone is interested in the game(I'm more of a fan of Basketball myself). So I have some great suggestions of what to watch on TV while your guy enjoys the Game.

If you are like me and you already Binged watched all of Fuller House as soon as it was on Netflix, you probably need your Candace Camron Bure fix. Hallmark Movies And Mysteries Channel has the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries Marathon. The series is about a small town librarian who runs a murder mystery club and solves mysteries in her spare time. It will be on all day on Sunday.

Now if you turn on the regular Hallmark Channel , at 12/Noon, they will be playing The Kitten Bowl . This annual tradition has little kittens playing football(it is so adorable).

Food Ideas for The Big Game

The great things about watching the Big Game are hanging out with friends and family, looking at the Commercials, and watching the Half-Time Show ( I am UBER excited JT is Performing). But for some of us the best thing about the Game is THE FOOD. Now some of us might be satisfied with Pizza and a Soft Drink, but if you really want to pull out your Domestic Goddess Skills, why not create some amazing eats that will make everyone's tummy feel well even if their team loses.

Here are some ideas on How to make a Touchdown with the snacks for The Big Game:

1.) Make a create your own (you fill in the blank)
There are so many options on make your own stations you can do. Popcorn, Nachos, French Fries, Soda, The possibilities are endless. Just make the base food and get as many toppings to go with that food. Here is an example with a sandwich bar in the shape of a stadium.

2.) Jazz it up with Decorations
You can head to any Party Store and get some Football Themed plates, tablecloths, and b…
